Video cameraman
I am available for work as film / video cameraman. Please feel free to contact me with details on your project.
Adventure Film Academy
In November 2007 I went on a week-long film making course run by the Adventure Film Academy (formally the Extreme Film School). This was part of the Kendal Mountain Film Festival.
This course included planning, camera (Sony HVR-Z1), sound, health & safety (including risk assessments), location problems, rigging and editing (using Final Cut Pro). It was a mixture of classroom and practical outdoor experience.
The Adventure Film Academy was run by:
Graham Hoyland: co-founder of the AFA. He works as a producer and director at the BBC in Manchester.
Richard Else: Director of the Durham Media Academy
Keith Partridge: International award winning cameraman specialising in high-level rope access camera work
Brian Hall: co-director of the Kendal Mountain Film Festival. Associate Producer on a number of BBC documentaries as well as coordinating safety
On the last two days the participants planned, filmed and edited a short two minute adventure film within a 48 hour period. The film was shown at the Kendal Mountain Film Festival. You can see this film below or on YouTube at:
Arguin Productions
In 1997 I worked for a TV production company called Arguin Productions base in Arcachon, France. As this was a small company, we all multi-tasked, some of my roles included computer / internet developer, cameraman (using Betacam SP and studio cameras) and stills photographer.
